After a life on a farm with no rules or training, Henry has spent over a month with a trainer and has made a vast improvement with his manners and learning to be a good family dog.  He is now ready to find his forever family.  He will need continued work with his leash walking and listening skills, but he is a very willing learner and he loves his treats.  He absolutely craves human attention, and cuddles with the best of them, but he is still learning not to jump with his excitement.  Older children would be good, but younger children are not recommended due to Henry’s size and exuberance.  He would need a physical fence, and would love a yard to run in and play.  Right now he does not have access to a fenced yard, and he exercises on a long leash and tether.  Henry would also benefit greatly from regular company and a routine so he knows stability in his life.  Henry keeps his kennel clean, but he would require a belly band when he first comes into your home.  With regular trips outside to his fenced yard, his housebreaking should be complete.

Henry is such a loving guy, and wants nothing more than to spend time with his people.  He would be happy as an only dog, but with slow introductions with other dogs, he could live with 4-legged companions also.  He does have a prey drive so no cats, chickens, or smaller animals.
