Volunteers Needed
Greeter
Help welcome and register people and Airedales when they arrive. Check their names against the registration list, reveal the fabulous contents in the goodie bag. Give them directions to where all the on-site activities will be held especially the time/place of the live auction. Have dog owners sign liability waivers in the unlikely event an Airedale has too much fun on somebody. You can do this for an hour or two if you like.
Shutterbug
Here’s an opportunity for someone to wander around the Frolic throughout the day and capture all the action in pictures. You can observe the goings-on, including the silent and live auction items, humans and pets in action having a good time, the pet photographer capturing assorted pets in action, the giving-tree action, the registration/food/kitchen area and workers, the Airedales and humans outdoors, and so on. Then at the very end, burn a cd containing the pictures and send them to Paula.
Master of Airedale Games
At the end of the live auction we always have assorted games for the Airedales to play with their humans. The rewards are a pooped out dale for the ride home, a toy for each participant, to see if your Airedale is smarter than a fifth grader but mostly to see if YOU are smarter than your Airedale! A good time is had by all. As being the Master of the games, you will be in charge of directing the games. Any new ideas for games would be greatly appreciated and we will supply the props as needed. The reward for you? You will be loved by all the Airedales……priceless!
Set Up
This happens the day before on Friday September 10 . Friday afternoon, any time after 2 p.m., we will meet at the Western Waukesha Dog Training Facility and pre-package the goody bags as well as set up the registration table, eating tables, adoption board, raffle tables, Annette's Airelooms, silent & live auction tables and all the equipment. Camp Lackner will serve dinner at the center around 5:15 p.m. for the volunteers that are helping set up . The finishing touches are done Saturday morning after 9 a.m. and before 11:00 a.m. when everyone arrives.
Stand By
We need volunteers to step up to the plate and help spur of the moment. Sometimes volunteers have changes in their lives and aren’t able to make the event to help. Please let us know the day of the event that you would be a backup if the need arises.
