ATRA volunteers and supporters host many events throughout our area every year.  These range from fun events to publicity to fundraisers.  Some are small while others attract larger crowds.  Regardless of the event, you will be sure to meet other enthusiastic Airedale supporters.

Calling all Airedales to Party On! It is our annual Airedale Terrier event -food, fun and lots of antics for those who have Airedales, those who love Airedales, and those who wish to learn more about the breed and possibly adopt an Airedale! We will have a raffle basket packed with great dog items along with some ATRA items, lots of good treats and fun friends. Airedales may chose to bring their people with them (must be on a leash)!

MetroBarks Festival

Join us for the announcement of the Toledo Blade's "Pet Idol" finalists and winner or find your new best friend at one of the rescue adoption booths. Register your dog for the "Mutt Show" or the "Hot Digital Dog exhibit" or better yet, leash up for the new "Paws in the Park" dog walk! Visit with WGTE's Clifford and Martha, share "dog tales" with the Toledo Lucas County Public Library or check out a variety of pooch-approved vendors. 2010 Past Events

"HALF WAY HOME " Matching Funds Fundraiser

When:  Month of December

What happens when a dog needs rescue, but rescue is full?  Do we say No?  What happens when a dog needs rescue, but it's dog-aggressive?  Do we say No?  NO is not in our vocabulary!  When a dog needs rescue rescue sometimes need help.  When we're "full" or we don't have an appropriate place for a dog we turn to professional kennels.

When the dog is in rescue the dog is half way to it's new life.  The dog is Half Way Home.  The dog is safe.  The dog is cared for.  The dog is fed.  But kennels cost money. 

During the month of December we are happy to offer you a matching-funds fundraiser to help pay for these Half Way Homes.  When you make a donation and specify "Half Way Home" your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar (to a maximum of $1,000).  Do without one Starbucks drive-thru and mail that $5 to ATRA; we receive $10 and THAT can pay for one day at a kennel.

Put on by MnPAW, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory and Pedigree, the event will feature rescue organizations from Minnesota and surrounding areas, and provide the opportunity for hundreds of animals to find their forever homes. ATRA will have a booth set up. Come by and say "hi".

Dog-tober Fest celebrates our love for our pets and the special place they hold in all our lives. This event brings together different types of pet retail vendors, pet services and rescue/shelter organizations available in and around our community. 

Just when you thought it couldn't get better,

another wonderful donator adds $500.00 to the kitty (don't tell the Airedales I said kitty).
