Finn's First Surgery

I just got back from seeing Finn.
 

The surgery went very well and did not take as long as expected.
 

The folks at Otter Lake Clinic said they were going to carry him back, but he would have none of it and walked back to his kennel himself. A true Airedale. I have a feeling a lot of that is due to the pain meds.

I was amazed he was awake and tail wagging when he saw me.

He perked up . . .

. . . when he found I had treats.

But ouch!! His leg looks so sore.
He got up when he saw me, then had a terrible time lying down again. It made my legs tingle looking at it. What a trooper.

I had to leave because I wanted him to sleep.
He needs healing time.

His vet bill is now at $3593.14.
