Lucky WI

Lucky and his sister Honey came into rescue due to his owners passing away and their daughter was not able to take the two dogs with her to Florida. Honey and Lucky have been together their entire lives.  They prefer the company of each other and even cats but not other dogs.  

This sweet old guy is a gem and YOU will be the lucky one when you adopt the pair.  Lucky has been to the vet on several occasions to help keep him healthy.  He has had two dental cleanings and each time he had several teeth extracted. He does have his molars so he has no problem eating. Like most dogs, Lucky enjoys his mealtime and his treats!Lucky was also checked for a skin issue and it was determined he needed to be on thyroid medicine which is given once a day and is inexpensive.  Just like his sister, he has some aging issues which include arthritis.  He is given joint supplements as well as an anti-inflammatory to help with any discomfort as he is slow in getting to a standing position. 

Lucky is a sweet old guy who is looking for a retirement home for him and his sister. He cannot be in a home with many steps. Traveling down steps is easier than going up as he can only manage one or two.  He does enjoy his walks and can make it about one half mile one way.   He is a gentle soul that adores his sister and follows her wherever she goes.  Can you find it in your heart to help with these two wonderful ‘dales?
